The new miProgram app arrives 1 November: sync your work before you update
On 1 November 2026 we are releasing a brand new miProgram app for iOS and Android. It has been rebuilt from the ground up on new technology, with a new local database and a new set of tools designed to get inventories done faster. Before it arrives, there is one thing every user needs to do.
Important: the new app replaces the old one completely. When it installs, everything stored locally on your device in the old app is removed. Any report that has not been synced to your miProgram account will be lost. Please sync all of your work before 1 November.
Why the new app wipes the old one
The old app and the new app do not share a database. The new app uses a completely new local storage layer, so there is no way to carry over reports that only exist on the device. Anything already synced is safe, because it lives in your miProgram account on our servers, not on the phone. The new app signs in to the same account and pulls your properties, templates and synced reports back down.
Reports that were never synced only exist on your device. Once the old app is replaced, they are gone and we cannot recover them.
What you need to do before 1 November
If a report will not sync, do not update the app. Contact us through the support page and we will help you get it uploaded first.
If you have the app set to update automatically, it is worth turning that off for miProgram until you have finished syncing. Otherwise the update could install before you have had a chance to check.
What is new in the app
The reason for the rebuild is speed. The new app is quicker to open, quicker to move around and far less dependent on a signal. Here is a short tour of the main additions.
Swift reports. A new fast inventory mode alongside the Classic mode you already know. Pick Swift, enter the address, and a Property Wizard takes you round the property one room at a time. You photograph one item at a time in the order you would naturally walk the room, log its condition on the spot, and move on. Full inventories can be compiled in as little as 15 minutes.
Room and item defaults. Set a door, window or socket as the default once and every new room in that property starts already filled in with the same type, colour and condition. The things you used to re-enter room after room are only done once.
Analyse with AI. When a room or property is complete, tap Analyse with AI and the app works out what each item is, reads its colour and writes up descriptions and summaries into the right fields. You review and amend with a tap rather than typing everything out.
A new local database. Everything you capture is stored locally first, so the app works fully offline in basements, new builds and rural properties, then syncs the moment you are back online. The new storage layer is the main reason the app feels so much faster.
Cleaner capture screens. A full screen camera, clear step counters, and condition and type chips that you can tap without leaving the capture screen. Less tapping and no writing up back at the desk.
Classic mode is still there for anyone who prefers the existing workflow, and your existing templates carry across. You can see Swift mode in action on the app launch page.
